About
Interwoven was created to show you how graphic designers’ ideas interweave with our environment, often inspired by the people we meet and get to talk to, or the activities in our daily lives. To us, we see human connection as the foundation of graphic design. Designing for people because of people, to communicate messages to people.
Our interactive exhibition is playful, organic, humanistic, and showcases connection while displaying previous Evanisko Projects. Our tone of voice reflects an unspoken connection between people of varying backgrounds in a playful and casual manner. By pairing unique slogans with eye catching designs, the Interwoven exhibition creates a space that people want to enter and feel welcomed.
From our color palette to our type face to our logo, all our visual elements were created to represent connection and highlight the playful spirit of our mission.
Developing Interwoven began with exploring how human connection shapes the creative process, especially within the context of the Evanisko Project’s mission to spotlight student work through meaningful, experiential design. Our team researched past exhibitions, observed how people interacted with the library spaces, and identified opportunities to make the environment feel more inviting and relational. From there, we experimented with playful typography, organic forms, and conversational slogans that reflected the everyday moments and relationships that inspire graphic designers. Through rounds of sketching, prototyping, and spatial testing, we refined a visual identity selecting a color palette, typeface, and logo system that reinforced the theme of interconnectedness. This process ultimately shaped an interactive exhibition that not only showcased previous Evanisko Projects, but also created a welcoming space where visitors could see how design, people, and lived experiences continually weave together.
